Soderbergh to direct 'Man From U.N.C.L.E.'

The Oscar-winning filmmaker and writer Scott Z. Burns (who penned Soderbergh's upcoming thriller Contagion) will team up for the spy movie, which is based on the '60s TV series about Napoleon Solo, Illya Kuryakin and the United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.).
Robert Vaughn and David McCallum starred in the show as two agents fighting against evil organisation T.H.R.U.S.H. (Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity).
Wedding Crashers helmer David Dobkin his switched from the director's chair to producer to make way for the new U.N.C.L.E. team. Soderbergh previously made the three Ocean's films, The Informant! and The Good German for Warner Bros.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. will reportedly begin production at the end of next year.
