During an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Felton revealed that he found Rickman's dry sense of humour to be intimidating.
He explained: "There was one scene where we were marching down a corridor with all of us (the kids) behind him. For those who don't know, [Rickman's character] Snape almost wears a wedding gown - black, not white - and it drapes about a meter or two behind him.
"He has a very dry sense of humour and turns around to us and says, 'Don't step on my effing cloak'. That's an actual quote and we never really knew if he was joking or not."
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is released in US and UK cinemas tomorrow.
