The actress, who portrayed Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the franchise, told The Mirror that she would still be interested in continuing the series.
Davis said: "There are no plans that I know of but I would love to do a third film.
"We all want to do it, I guess it's just figuring out whether it's the right thing to do and if we can move the characters forward any more."
The 45-year-old, who is due to return to television in an adaptation of the book The Happiness Project, has dismissed suggestions that her former castmates could make cameos in the show.
"No, no, no," she told reporters. "We're not going to do that."
