How Cruise got West for 'Mission' theme

Kayne West fan Tom Cruise got him to make the "unbelievable" new Mission: Impossible III theme.
The rapper says he only agreed to take part after a personal meeting with the star himself, after first saying he was too busy. "But they invited me to come by the studio, and I went and Tom was there," he continued. "He was like, 'Yo, can you do it?' And I was like, 'Yes.'"
Cruise says West has made two "unbelievable" tracks – a new version of the movie's classic theme and another called Impossible, with Twista and Keyshia Cole.
"You just need to hear it," continued the actor. "I went in while they were mixing, and I was like, 'Man, you killed it.' It is — wow."
"As a fan of Kanye's work, I was thrilled at the prospect of him contributing his talents to Mission Impossible III," said Cruise. "We wanted to take this instalment of 'Mission' to the next level and Kanye's music definitely added to accomplishing that goal.”
