'Deathly Hallows' retains Aus box office lead

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 has retained its place at the top of the Australian box office.

The first instalment in the Potter series finale pulled in $6.7 million to easily best new releases Due Date and Fair Game, which open at numbers two and three respectively.

Last week's chart runner-up Jackass 3D falls to number four, while The Social Network lands in fifth place.

The only other new entry, the Eli Roth-produced Last Exorcism, lands at number six.
