According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spencer - who had a recurring role on the AMC series Mad Men - joins Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, and Tom Hardy on the action-comedy movie as Hardy's ex-wife.
The actress has recently appeared in TV series Hawthorne, Castle, and Private Practice.
This Means War is said to be about two covert agents vying for the heart of one woman. Shooting has begun in British Columbia, Canada.
