Ludlum novel picked for adaptation

Jonathan Jakubowicz will write and direct a screen adaptation of Robert Ludlum's The Sigma Protocol.
Based on what was one of the author's last books, the story focuses on an American economist who has been targeted by hired assassins and, with the help of an intelligence agent, seeks to uncover an international conspiracy affecting the world economy.
Other Ludlum novels to be adapted into films include The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and the upcoming The Bourne Ultimatum.
