The film, directed by Sngmoo Lee, takes inspiration from a variety of different genres including both martial arts and Western films.
"I suppose I've been sort of describing it as 'outside the box'," Bosworth explained to MTV News. "I've never read anything like it before, so the idea of an audience never seeing a film like that before is always an initial thrill going into making a movie."
Bosworth says that the film crosses both cultures and genres with its presentation, and admits to being stunned after seeing the finished product.
"You have cowboys and ninjas, and clowns and babies and Westerns, and it's just a hodgepodge of excitement happening in this movie," the actress added.
The Warrior's Way, which also stars Jang Dong-gun and Geoffrey Rush, opened in cinemas this weekend.
