Exclusive: Wright to start 'World's End' next year
The movie, currently titled The World's End, will follow on from Wright and Pegg's Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz. The trilogy's title is a reference to Cornetto ice creams, which appear in both the pair's earlier comedies.
"Me and Simon plan, probably towards the end of next year because he's really busy and I'm pretty busy, to try and write something," Wright told Digital Spy.
"Me, Simon and Nick [Frost] really want to work together again and we want to make another film in the UK. I think that's really important to all three of us and we have an idea."
Discussing the origin of ice creams in his movies, Wright explained: "The only reason the Cornettos are in both films is that in Shaun Of The Dead we mentioned Corenttos and at the premiere Wall's gave us free Cornettos. At the Hot Fuzz premiere, no Cornettos. Wall's, what happened?!"
