According to Yahoo News, Parker will join the previously announced cast of New Year's Eve when it begins filming early next year.
The report also claims that both Halle Berry and Zac Efron are still in negotiations for parts in the ensemble comedy.
New Year's Eve will follow a similar format to its predecessor, telling a number of interconnected stories across the city of New York over one evening.
Among those already confirmed for the film are Robert De Niro, Abigail Breslin, Michelle Pfeiffer, Lea Michele, and Ashton Kutcher.
New Year's Eve is scheduled to be released on December 9, 2011.
