Speaking to HitFix, the Tron: Legacy star revealed that he has often wondered what might happen in a follow-up to John Carpenter's sci-fi drama. The film centres on an alien taking the form of a woman's dead husband.
Bridges said: "Starman, what happened there? That's kind of set up. Karen Allen is preggers. She's got that little ball and stuff. What's up with that?"
Discussing the possibility of revisiting other past roles, Bridges said that a reprise of The Dude from The Big Lebowski is unlikely, although he did voice a desire to play The Last Picture Show's Duane Jackson for a third time.
"Larry McMurtry has written three other books in that series of characters who were involved in The Last Picture Show," he commented. "20 years ago we made Texasville, 20 years after we made Last Picture Show. So I think we're due for another instalment."
