Theron in 'North Country' / WB
Theron is herself nominated for the award for best actress for her performance in North Country, having taken home the gong for her role in Monster from the ceremony two years ago.
Thurman, who received a nomination in 1994 for her supporting role in Pulp Fiction, can currently be seen in The Producers, her next offering being Super Ex-Girlfriend.
The 78th Academy Awards ceremony will be held on March 5.
