Vin Diesel has signed a deal to produce and star in an adaptation of Midway Games' The Wheelman, according to Variety.
The actor, who will also take the title role in an adaptation of Hitman, will additionally produce and star in the game, which is planned for a simultaneous release alongside the movie in late 2007.
The story follows the adventure of an expert driver who emerges from retirement to protect a woman from his past. The game's plot will act as a prequel to the film.
xXx scribe Rich Wilkes will write the screenplay, with a draft expected to be completed in around two months.
