Colin Farrell: 'Miami Vice flop was rough'

Colin Farrell has admitted that he had a difficult time accepting the financial failure of his 2006 film Miami Vice.

According to WENN, the actor explained that struggles in his personal life prevented him from fully focusing on director Michael Mann's action-adventure movie.

"I just completely fell to s**t on that one," he said.

"It was literally the first time I couldn't say to anyone around me, 'Have I been late for work, have I missed any days, have I been hitting my marks?' Because the answers would have been yes, yes, and no... I lost the ability to be confident that I could make a change myself."

After finishing work on Miami Vice, Farrell reportedly checked himself in for a stint in rehab to kick his dependence on drugs.

The star recently claimed that giving up alcohol was the "best decision" he ever made.
