Gemma Arterton lands 'Hansel and Gretel'

The actress joins Jeremy Renner on the project, which "picks up with the fairy tale siblings years after the traumatic childhood incident has turned them into bounty hunters", reveals The Hollywood Reporter.
It is thought that Diane Kruger, Eva Green and Noomi Rapace were also vying for the main part.
The film was written by Gary Sanchez and will be directed by Dead Snow's Tommy Wirkola.
Production on Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is scheduled to begin in Berlin in March.
