Speaking with Shock Till You Drop, Roven confirmed that Zack Snyder's Superman reboot will not take place in the same universe as Nolan's third Batman film.
"Right now the Batman lives in his world and the Superman lives in his world," he said. "Those stories are those stories and we haven't thought beyond each individual picture."
The producer went on to say that neither project has entered pre-production yet. "They're both going to be long shoots," he added. "I'm sure there's going to be some overlap, but hopefully there'll be as little overlap as possible."
The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled to arrive in theatres in July next year. Superman will follow in December 2012.
