Akerman: 'Lovelace biopic will be beautiful'

Malin Akerman has suggested that the upcoming biopic on the life of former porn star Linda Lovelace will tell a "beautiful" story.

The actress told USA Today that she is impressed with the way that Inferno's screenplay tackles sensitive subject matter.

"I'm very excited. It's a beautiful script," she said.

Akerman continued: "It's a story of a woman's life, who was really tortured… And it needs to be told."

Lovelace famously starred in the 1972 erotic film Deep Throat, but later publicly denounced the adult entertainment industry.

In November, it was announced that Akerman would replace Lindsay Lohan as Inferno's star.
