Hedlund may consider music in future

Garrett Hedlund's recent role in Country Strong may have inspired the actor to take up a career in music.

Hedlund stars as a young singer-songwriter in the film, both singing and playing guitar opposite lead actress Gwyneth Paltrow. The actor has now hinted that he is considering continuing to perform music.

"It's funny, I was in Nashville yesterday and the day before, and I was hanging with Dierks Bentley there, and he was saying, 'You gotta come out on the tour and sing one here and there'," Hedlund told MTV News. "That's always a fun possibility.

"We'll see what happens," Hedlund added, before confirming that he doesn't currently have any plans to record solo material.

Country Strong received its wide release in cinemas this weekend, but Hedlund can also currently be seen starring in Disney's Tron Legacy.
