Scott Derrickson to helm 'Goliath'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Goliath will adapt the Biblical story of David and Goliath into a film similar to 300.
The project is being described as an action movie that tells the tale of the young shepherd David and his fight against the warrior Goliath that is sent to kill him.
Most recently, Derrickson directed 2008's The Day The Earth Stood Still, starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly. In addition to Goliath, Derrickson will also soon reportedly helm The Substitute.
Goliath will be produced by Temple Hill, the company behind the Twilight movies.
