Rogen: 'Beastie Boys film is amazing'

Seth Rogen has described his role in the Beastie Boys movie Fight For Your Right Revisited as "amazing".

The actor - who portrays Mike D in the Adam 'MCA' Yauch-directed short film - said that as a long-time fan of the group, he didn't think twice before taking on the part.

"I literally got a phone call from MCA one day," he told MTV News.

"It was funny because we were in our office, and [writing partner] Evan [Goldberg] was sitting across from me, and I was like, 'Yeah, MCA? Yeah, yeah, OK, whatever you want! OK, sounds perfect'. And he was like, 'What just happened?' I was like, 'I think I'm going to be in a Beastie Boys video'."

Rogen continued: "That was it. It was amazing. I'm a huge Beastie Boys fan and they just called and asked if I wanted to be a part of it and I said yes without hesitation.

"I didn't need to hear anything. I didn't need to see anything, any concepts. I was just like, 'I will literally do anything you ask me to do'."

Fight For Your Right Revisited premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
