Frances McDormand cast in 'Madagascar 3'

The Oscar-winning actress will play a villainous animal control officer who captures and imprisons the zoo animals, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer and Jada Pinkett Smith are all due to reprise their roles from the first two movies, and will apparently be joined by a host of new characters, including an Italian sea lion, a Russian tiger and a Latina jaguar.
Victoria Beckham was previously reported to have turned down an offer to star in the film.
Madagascar 3 is due in cinemas on May 18, 2012.
