According to Ain't It Cool News, the studio is "close" to revealing their plans for a follow-up to December's virtual reality blockbuster.
Tron: Legacy, starring Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund, is expected to cross the $300 million mark at the worldwide box office in the next week and Disney is said to be impressed by sales of the Daft Punk soundtrack and ancillary merchandise.
The Tron franchise will also continue with a 10-part animated series - written by movie scribes Eddy Kistis and Adam Horowitz - that is due to air this summer.
