Faith Hill praises "amazing" Gwyneth Paltrow

Faith Hill has praised Country Strong star Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress appears alongside Hill's husband Tim McGraw in the country movie which revolves around a fallen star played by Paltrow.

During an appearance on Wednesday's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, the singer was asked if she had helped Paltrow with her character. "She didn't need much help!" she replied. "She's pretty amazing, right? So talented. She really can sing."

Fallon then joked that he hoped Hill was not too much of an inspiration for Paltrow's troubled character, to which Hill laughed: "She was much more interesting than I am, honestly!... We hung out a great deal and she embraces Nashville and Nashville embraced her."

Hill also told Fallon about her charity work with Tide Loads Of Hope, an organisation which aims to bring normalcy to areas of disaster by providing washing and drying facilities so families can enjoy clean clothing.

Paltrow previously said that she was thankful for the advice Hill provided while she was preparing for Country Strong, while the pair have also joked about wanting their children to marry when they are older.

Country Strong is in US cinemas now and arrives in the UK on March 25.
