Carrey's 'Ripley's Believe It Or Not' revived

Oscar-winning Forrest Gump screenwriter Eric Roth has been hired to write a new script for the adventure movie, according to Deadline.
Tim Burton and Chris Columbus had previously been attached to direct but both versions of the film failed to materialise.
Ripley's centres on Robert Ripley, who travels the world to see exotic locations and unusual people for his newspaper column.
Carrey is currently filming the children's movie Mr. Popper's Penguins.
