J.J. Abrams's Super 8 (June 10), Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark Of The Moon (July 1), Brad Bird's Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (December 16) and Steven Spielberg's The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn (December 28) will all be released in IMAX theatres at the same time as their cinema debut under the deal.
Both Transformers and Tintin were filmed in 3D and will be remastered for an IMAX 3D debut.
The films are also expected to be released on UK IMAX screens, with Tintin due to arrive two months before the American release.
Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment, said of the deal: "When you combine the incredible storytelling talents of J.J. Abrams, Michael Bay, Brad Bird and Steven Spielberg with technologies that transport the audience into the story, you create an awe-inspiring experience that takes movie-goers to places they only dream of - and that is what the core and spirit of our partnership with Paramount Pictures is all about.
"We are very excited to share these amazing event films with IMAX exhibitors and movie-goers and look forward to working with these brilliant filmmakers as they showcase their talents in our format."
