Adrien Brody (Predators), Josh Lucas (Poseidon), James D'Arcy (Secret Diary Of A Call Girl), Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Lark Rise To Candleford) and Benjamin Walker (Flags Of Our Fathers) have reportedly tried out for the role of the 16th US President this week.
The movie is based on Seth Grahame-Smith's novel, which re-imagines Lincoln as a vampire slayer. Fox emerged with the movie rights to the book last year after holding off competition from rival bidders Sony, Paramount, Universal and Summit.
Wanted's Timur Bekmambetov will director the 3D blockbuster, while Tim Burton is producing the project.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is due for release on June 22, 2012, reports Deadline.
