'Hornet' beats 'Dilemma' at US box office

Seth Rogen's superhero comedy The Green Hornet has entered the US box office at number one, beating off competition from Vince Vaughn's new film The Dilemma.

The Green Hornet toppled last week's number one True Grit, taking $34 million in its opening weekend to the $17.4 million taken by The Dilemma.

True Grit continues to do well, taking $11.2 million, while critical darling The King's Speech rises up the top ten to fourth place and takes $9 million.

Rounding out the top five is Darren Aronofsky's dark thriller Black Swan, which takes $8.1 million.

Next weekend sees the wide release of Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher's new R-rated comedy No Strings Attached.
