Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed that he is considering three scripts for his big screen comeback.

The 63-year-old, who stepped down as California governor earlier this month, told Krone that a particular project about an ageing German soldier is "delighting" him.

"In it I would play an older soldier, who gets the order at the ending of the war to kill a bunch of kids. But he doesn't do it and get them to safety at the risk of his life and it has all kind of adventure," he said. "This script is based on a true story!"

According to Schwarzenegger site TheArnoldFans, the film is based on a script from Braveheart writer Randall Wallace called With Wings As Eagles.

Schwarzenegger stepped away from acting in 2003 after becoming Governor of California. He had cameo roles in Around The World In 80 Days, Welcome To The Jungle and The Expendables, but has not taken on a major role since Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines.
