The Hollywood Reporter claims that the Hannibal Lecter actor could take the title role in director Sacha Gervasi's project - a film adaptation of non-fiction book Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho.
The report suggests that the project will be overseen by Paramount Pictures. Black Swan co-writer John McLaughlin is set to adapt the 1998 book into a screenplay.
As in the book, the Hitchcock film will apparently follow the 'Master of Suspense' as he struggles to get legendary proto-slasher Psycho made, focusing all the while on his relationship with wife and longtime working partner Alma Reville.
