Pregnant Cotillard leaves 'Cosmopolis'

French actress Marion Cotillard has announced that she has been forced to drop out of David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis.

Cotillard had been expected to star in the film as the female lead and primary love interest, but has left the film due to her recently announced pregnancy.

According to Gossip Cop, a number of news outlets claim that Kiera Knightley is Cronenberg's first choice to replace the actress.

Cosmopolis, an adaptation of author Don DeLillo's novel, has already suffered a late cast change when Robert Pattinson replaced Colin Farrell as the male lead.

A release date for the film has yet to be announced.
