Hudson, Franco offered 'Lovelace' roles

Howl duo Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman will direct the movie, based on Eric Danville's book The Complete Linda Lovelace.
Hudson is circling the role of the former porn actress Lovelace, while Franco - the star of Howl - would play her abusive husband and pornographer Chuck Traynor.
Lovelace shot to fame after starring in Deep Throat, which broke through into the mainstream and became a box office hit in 1972. She later campaigned against the industry and died from injuries sustained in a car crash in 2002.
A rival Lovelace biopic, titled Inferno, is also in the works with Malin Akerman in the lead role. The project once had Lindsay Lohan attached to play the actress.
