Report: 'Prometheus will have Alien link'

The science fiction movie, penned by Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof, was initially developed as a prequel to Scott's 1979 space horror Alien, but recent comments from the director suggested that it had been transformed into an original project.
According to Sky Movies, Prometheus will still tie into the Alien franchise with 'space jockeys' and H.R. Giger's monsters making appearances.
"They've built the 'space jockey' cockpit at Pinewood as seen in the original Alien film, so it definitely takes place in the same world as Alien," a source is quoted as saying.
"Despite that press release that seemed to indicate there were no aliens in the movie, the familiar H.R. Giger-style aliens do appear. Big ones apparently."
The insider added that the plot centres on a space crew, which includes Noomi Rapace's scientist Elizabeth Shaw, and the discovery of alien DNA on an archeological expedition.
"Part of the film will be shot in Morocco. I've heard that some sort of archaeological dig where they discover alien DNA takes place there and that DNA gives them the co-ordinates for an alien world," the source said.
Prometheus is also said to involve "biochemical technology" and will see the main spacecraft piloted by a giant CGI head.
The 20th Century Fox movie is due to open on June 8, 2012.
