Maguire played the role of Peter Parker for the previous trilogy of films, which concluded with 2007's Spider-Man 3.
The reboot is to be released in 2012 with Andrew Garfield taking over the role of Parker.
When asked whether he would watch the new film, Maguire told Access Hollywood: "I'm really excited. I think Marc Webb is an exciting filmmaker, and Andrew is a great actor."
He added: "I've been a fan of his. I saw Boy A, which I loved, a bit ago... and, of course, The Social Network."
Maguire had previously said that the new Spider-Man suit "looked cool".
