Baddiel and Omid Djalili picked up the 'Funniest Film' gong for the The Infidel at the ceremony. Speaking backstage, the comic teased his directorial debut, which will feature Doctor Who's Karen Gillan and Misfits' Robert Sheehan in the lead roles.
"It is a big fantasy romantic teen comedy about an American high school girl - although we are talking at the moment about it not being American - who wants to be in her school production of Romeo & Juliet but is too shy," he said. "She then drinks a magic potion and ends up as Juliet in the real world of Romeo & Juliet."
