Stewart 'didn't turn down Lois Lane role'

A rep for Kristen Stewart has denied rumours that the actress turned down a role in the upcoming Superman film.

The Twilight star was first linked to the role of Lois Lane alongside Glee's Dianna Agron earlier this week.

However, Stewart's spokesperson told People that she was never in the running for the part, explaining: "There are a number of fabricated stories circulating.

"The fact is that she has not met on this film nor has she been approached for this film."

Henry Cavill recently beat out Arnie Hammer and Matthew Goode to scoop Superman's lead role.
