Warner Bros is reportedly close to purchasing the rights to Harker.

According to Deadline, the company is in talks to acquire the new big-screen adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula.

The script is written by Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy. It will be helmed by Jaume Collet-Serra, the director of Liam Neeson's latest film Unknown.

The film reimagines Jonathan Harker as a Scotland Yard detective tracking the Transylvanian count and allegedly sets up the potential for a new movie franchise.

Cinema Blend reports that Harker is not the only Dracula-based film in development. Sam Worthington (Avatar) and Noomi Rapace (the Millennium trilogy) have both been attached to projects based on Stoker's novel in the past few months.
