In an interview with Metro, the Oscar nominee was questioned as to whether he would enjoy reprising the role of slacker Jeff 'The Dude' Lebowski.
"Oh, absolutely… Oh yeah, I'd do it again," he said.
Bridges went on to say that he doesn't expect a second instalment to ever be produced because the Coen brothers have never been keen to revisit their past work.
"It doesn't seem like something the Coen brothers would be interested in, but then again they're always about surprising us, so who knows? Maybe they'll surprise us again."
Last week, Ethan Coen rubbished claims made by actress Tara Reid that work on a Big Lebowski sequel would commence later this year.
