Rose McGowan boards 'Rosewood Lane'

Rose McGowan has signed to star in forthcoming action thriller Rosewood Lane.

Jeepers Creepers helmer Victor Salva is directing the project, Voltage Pictures has announced.

The Scream actress will portray a radio talkshow psychiatrist named Dr Sunny Blake, who is targeted by a sociopath paperboy when she moves back to her childhood home.

"Rosewood Lane has been a pet project of mine for years now and what I have always regarded as one of my most terrifying stories. To see it finally come to life, is wonderful," director Salva said.

Producer Phillip B. Goldfine added: "Rose fully embodies the lead character, and with her strong cult following I can see audiences as they enjoy watching the horrific experiences her character goes through."

McGowan announced on Twitter that the project would begin shooting in March.
