Garfield, Garner join 'Back Roads' cast

Andrew Garfield and Jennifer Garner have signed on to star in Back Roads.

According to Variety, the star of the forthcoming Spider-Man reboot and the Arthur actress have joined the cast of the movie adaptation of Tawni O'Dell's novel of the same name.

The murder mystery tale follows a young man - due to be played by Garfield - who takes on the responsibility of caring for his three sisters when their mother is jailed for murdering their father.

Garner will take the part of a friendly neighbour who becomes a love interest for the troubled young man.

Marcia Gay Harden is also attached to the project to portray Garfield's therapist. Further high-profile actresses are expected to sign on to play the three sisters.
