Slade previously directed the vampire movies 30 Days Of Night and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and according to The Hollywood Reporter is now attached to a third.
The film tells the story of the ship featured in Bram Stoker's classic Dracula, which transports Dracula from Transylvania to London but is found washed up on the English shore filled with the bodies of dead sailors.
Bradi Schut wrote the film's script a decade ago, and the project has since struggled to secure a director.
Although the film's lead role has yet to be cast, Ben Kingsley and Noomi Rapace are currently attached as co-stars.
