Hoult joining Singer's 'Giant Killer'?

English actor Nicholas Hoult has reportedly been offered the lead role in director Bryan Singer's upcoming re-imagining of the classic tale Jack And The Beanstalk.

Deadline claims that Hoult is now in final negotiations to play the titular character in the Warner Bros film, titled Jack The Giant Killer.

If cast, Hoult will play a young farmer who leads a small group into the kingdom of the giants in order to rescue a princess.

Hoult is best known for starring in the first two series of the British Skins, for his supporting role in last year's A Single Man and for his upcoming role as Beast in the Bryan Singer-produced X-Men: First Class.

Jack The Giant Killer is expected to begin production this month, for a release towards the end of 2011.
