The actress stars as Gina opposite Neeson's Dr. Martin Harris in the upcoming thriller from Jaume Collet-Serra.
Kruger told Stylist: "What I liked about him is he was very gracious in the sense of understanding what I was trying to do.
"Plus I was trying to do a Bosnian accent and that always takes a lot of time. He really gave me the space and time I needed to get it right."
She added: "That was really sweet of him because this is his movie really. I really appreciated that. And I was impressed by how much he kicks ass, it's cool."
When it was noted that her character does much the same in the film, Kruger quipped: "Yeah, but I'm 23 years younger!"
