Russell Crowe in Scott's 'Gladiator'
The legendary Gladiator director will make an adaptation of David Ignatius' novel Penetration, according to Variety.
The book follows a CIA agent on a mission in Jordan to find the boss of a terrorist group.
Scott's Kingdom of Heaven - about the Crusades – was praised by some Arab groups for avoiding Muslim stereotypes.
