Ribisi to star in 'Family Guy' helmer debut

Giovanni Ribisi is to star opposite Mark Wahlberg in a film about a talking teddy bear who haunts a man into his adult life.

Ted will be helmed by Family Guy writer Seth MacFarlane, making his directorial debut, Variety has reported.

Wahlberg will take on the role of the grown-up who mistakenly wishes Ted to be real, with Ribisi playing a man obsessed with the toy.

It is reported that Mila Kunis, who voices Meg Griffin in Family Guy, is currently in talks to appear in the film.
