The actor, who is hosting the gala, predicted that director Tom Hooper's period drama will likely take home the major awards, despite only being up for 'Best Foreign Film'.
"I think all the nominees will be read [at the Independent Spirit Awards] and The King's Speech will win everything," he jested to TV Guide. "It cannot be stopped. It will not be stopped. I think it almost won the Super Bowl."
Discussing his strategy for hosting the event, McHale insisted that he will not alter his comedic sensibilities to cater to a crowd of Hollywood professionals.
"I'm not changing my sense of humour, but it's obviously a different beast if this were some sort of reality award," he remarked.
"There will be jokes in the monologue, but the show doesn't end there. You have to keep things moving and you have to keep the ball in the air. Your job is more than just to tell jokes about the [independent film] community's awesome movies."
The 2011 Independent Spirit Awards will air Saturday at 10pm ET/9pm CT on IFC.
