The ceremony, which honours the worst films and actors of the past year, saw Shyamalan's comeback film receive five awards, including 'Wost Picture', 'Worst Director', and 'Worst Director'.
Other Razzie winners included the cast of Sex and the City 2, who won 'Worst Actress', 'Worst Screen Couple or Ensemble' and 'Worst Sequel'. Ashton Kutcher won 'Worst Actor' and Jessica Alba was declared the 'Worst Supporting Actress' of 2010 for her roles across four films.
The Razzie wins will come as a blow to Shyamalan, who has received heavy criticism for his films in recent years. 2004's The Village and 2006's The Lady in the Water were panned by critics, whereas his earlier output, including The Sixth Sense in 1999, was praised.
"He managed to take a cartoon property and make it even less life-like by making it with real actors," Razzie Awards founder John Wilson said of the film, according to Yahoo News. "Most people who like the show, and this would include my 14 year-old son, hated the movie."
None of this year's Razzie Award winners were present at the ceremony.
