Tom Hooper to direct historical romance?

The Oscar-winning King's Speech director is said to be considering a script based on the bestseller Tulip Fever by Deborah Moggach, Deadline reports.
According to the site, the screen version has been developed by several different directors including Hannah Montana helmer John Chelsom and John Madden, who has steered Mrs Brown and Shakespeare in Love.
Tulip Fever follows the lives of an artist and patron in 17th century Amsterdam who embark on an affair before devising a tulip-selling business to help them elope.
