Tatum attached to 'Peter Pan Begins'

Channing Tatum has teamed up with screenwriter Billy Ray and producer Joe Roth to make Peter Pan Begins.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project will tell the origin story of J. M. Barrie's famous literary creation. It is unclear if Tatum will appear in the movie or just act as producer.

The movie was pitched to the major Hollywood studios yesterday.

Ray wrote and directed the 2003 drama Shattered Glass and Roth produced last year's Alice In Wonderland.

The Peter Pan character has appeared on screen in Disney's 1953 animation, Steven Spielberg's Hook and a 2003 live-action version starring Jason Isaacs as Captain Hook.
