The Get Him to the Greek star could make his directorial debut with a project currently titled The Kitchen Sink, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He has already written and executive produced the film version of TV show 21 Jump Street, the undercover police drama that launched Johnny Depp.
The upcoming movie sees Ice Cube and Channing Tatum take on the roles of police officers infiltrating a high school to investigate youth crime.
