Touchstone picks up 'Lighthouse' thriller

Touchstone Pictures has acquired The Lighthouse, a claustrophobic thriller pitch by Dean DeBlois.
The story takes place off the coast of Brittany in the English Channel, where people live an isolated existence operating lighthouses. Aiming to install new equipment to one such lighthouse, a man begins to discover the dark secrets of a pair of brothers who live there.
This seems something of a change of direction for DeBlois, whose writing credits include Mulan and Lilo & Stitch.
Andrew Gunn and his Gunn Films company will produce, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
